Loafers

Most recognizable by its slip-on styling, the loafer was originally created as a house slipper for King George VI of England and is viewed as a semi-casual comfort shoe. Lace less and elegant, this versatile shoe is best matched with smart and semi-casual looks. These comfortable shoes are perfect for lounging and travelling in. At Tresmode, you can pick from an array of textures and colours. Brown, black and dark blues can we worn at any occasion while leather and suede are great for Indian summers and winter. If you’re looking for a more statement shoe, opt for loafers with gold insignia in rich colours like maroon and midnight blue to elevate your look. Loafers commonly have a rubber or a leather sole. Loafers can be distinguished from Moccasins by their evident heel. Loafers are commonly made out of leather

Moccasins

Moccasins are the more formal brothers of loafers. This however, does not mean that they are to be worn at black tie events or other highly formal settings. Like loafers, moccasins are also recognizable by their slip-on styling. Moccasins are commonly made of soft leather, mainly suede. They consist of a sole and their sides are made of a single leather piece which is stitched together at the top. Unlike loafers, moccasins have a soft & flexible sole and they do not have a heel. Moccasins can have laces which are non-functional

Pair them with shorts and a shirt for a perfect summer travel look or with a shirt and chinos for a casual day-out look.

Loafers & Moccasins can be worn without socks. Sometimes you will look better if you are wearing loafers or moccasins without socks, but that is, of course, your personal choice. An alternative to wearing them without socks are wearing them with no-show or invisible socks.
